Tamales y Bicicletas (TyB) is a latino-led sustainable transportation, local foods access, and youth development organization based in south minneapolis. The mission of the organization is to develop healthy latino and immigrant communities through bikes, local & organic foods, cultural empowerment, and environmental justice.

The TyB - MNT partnership produced expanded community engagement, urban farm labor opportunities, grant funding, and public art. TyB mentored eight paid student interns, who gained an appreciation of the breadth of our local environmental justice movement, from being enmeshed in the farm's success to joining our community's struggle to secure the East Phillips Urban Indoor Farm.
