Project: De La Clase Trabajadora

Project description by Esteban Perez Cortez:

My project began as an oral history project consisting of 13 narrators. Over time I decided to highlight the interviews and statistics of the Mexican diaspora in Minnesota.

The goal of the project is to keep expanding, preserve and showcase as many oral histories involving Mexican-Americans and the greater immigrant community in Minnesota and making them more accessible by translating them, and in the future incorporating speech to text with the scripts, and Braille. Translation and cleaning the scripts still in progress.
